Why a reptile birthday party is more than just a party

Most birthday parties are forgotten within a week. The cake, the activities, the gift bags, all blur together. But ask almost any parent who has booked a reptile show, and you’ll hear the same thing: their kid still brings it up months later.

It seems there’s something that happens when a child comes face-to-face with a breathing python or a closer inspection of a blue-tongued lizard for the first time. A bowling alley simply can’t replicate that.

A lot of children are scared of reptiles. That’s understandable. But the fear tends to pass faster than you’d expect when the setting is right.

The Wildlife Ambassadors at Reptile Encounters are good at reading the room. They start with the less intimidating animals and build from there, letting each child move at their own pace. Nobody is made to hold anything they’re not ready for.

Reptile Encounters runs birthday reptile shows in Melbourne, either at your location or at their Burwood facility. Shows run about an hour and include up to eight species.
