These are our Golden Brushtail Possums! These guys are the same as your regular brushies in your roof, just golden!

Their golden coloured coat is the result of a rare genetic mutation called leucism. 🤍

Ma’am, what are you doing?

Here, Josh is draining the pond water for the outdoor enclosures, in order to put fresh water in! These enclosures belong to various turtles, such as the murray river short -necked turtle! 🐢

These turtles are found throughout the Murray-Darling basin, from SA, through northern VIC, NSW and into QLD. They like to live in rivers, creeks, ponds and lakes, from the relatively slow-moving waters of lagoons to the open waters of main rivers. 🌊

Jeff is a Tawny Frogmouth and he has a carnivorous diet. That means he only eats other animals! 🥩

In the wild, Tawny Frogmouths enjoy nocturnal insects, worms, slugs and snails. Small mammals, reptiles, frogs and birds are also eaten. 🪱
