Could We Build a New Zoo On Phillip Island?
By Catherine Mallia/03 September 2024
We’re aiming high!
Reptile Encounters has been incredibly privileged to be able to secure funding as part of the Enabling Tourism Fund 2024!
This funding provides the opportunity for us to work closely with zoo-developers to establish a master plan and conduct feasability studies into the prospect of building a natives zoo on Phillip Island which will help promote nature-based tourism to this environmental haven.
The funding comes after a big dream converted to a robust application from Josh Cox, who says:
“We see great synergy with the other organisations that exist on the island and are keen to run conservation projects particularly focused on local species.”
