Activities for Science Week 2026

🌱 Welcome to our National Science Week 2026 collection!

We’ve curated a range of quick, flexible and low-prep activities designed to spark curiosity and bring the “wow” of science into your classroom.

Our two themes –🦠 getting curious about biosecurity and 📡 digital inclusion – were chosen because they both connect with the heart of this year’s theme, Seeds of Science: Nurturing knowledge for all, while also reflecting topics we’re super passionate about at Reptile Encounters. They invite students to explore how knowledge moves through communities, how access to information can shape our world, and how science can help us understand and respond to real-world challenges.

From modelling how diseases spread to imagining life without the internet, these activities are designed to get students asking questions, testing ideas and thinking creatively. Whether you have five minutes or a full lesson, there’s a challenge to suit your classroom.
